Is Mary Ireland 63?
So many reasons for to be
Proud of being sixty three,
Mayow Road - the First of May’s
Nine times seven - happy days.
Now we ride beside - together
But stay indoors for stormy weather,
Not a cross-word, push or shove
As we scrabble to a lasting love.
Fitter now than ’ere before
Glide up hills and look for more,
Bumps and bruises notwithstanding
Every one a happy landing
Although it seemed not at the time
It fits in well to my poor rhyme.
But best of all is just begun
Third time of being twenty one.
